^ The 645D concept has the same button. I think it's safe to say it's probably the scenes mode.

And what would be the purpose of that? I always shoot RAW so where come the image modes into play? Surely it's not important enough to have a dedicated button for that.

Sure, like "sunset", "birthday", and "pets". Maybe a "sports" mode? Pro photogs like dogs right?

But if the 645D has the same button, it then has nothing to do with SR.

How often do you change your contrast/colour/sharpness to warent a dedicated button?

I'm with you and don't think it is anything important. They have a WB button though too. Who knows.

that button looks a lot like the custom image menu hexagon- compare here (screen from Custom Image menu on the K20).

Pentax wants to force you to use them more.
Realize that JPG is almost always good enough.

There's nothing like a good RAW file... "Good enough" is not good enough for me

Good to know, I hope the magnification is also good, as I wear glasses and everyone says that having a magnifying eyepiece is not good with glasses. I was looking at the Pentax OM-E53 and the KPS U-13C.

Maybe the mystery button is a user defined button, put whatever function you like there.

it is like the lucky draw at the last minutes, you don't know what you gonna get, a big prize or nothing, so the best way to keep calm is "talking nonsense" about this until the "day of reckoning"
