there should be a bet on how many posts the mega thread will receive before the big announcement hits. I guess 4500 posts.
We know when if finishes when the first person to post the actual official announcement in the thread arrives.

I suggested this a few hundred posts back.
Come on people. What is your bet.

I've noticed a trend here - there is more and more discussions about The Thread itself and less about K-7... Could it mean it's become too big to follow?

Is this an intended pun? And am I the only one who LOL'd at reading it?

Have we found a purpose for the hexagon-rectangle button yet. The hexagon would suggest something to do with a lens iris, so maybe a dedicated optical/digital preview button instead of the on/off switch?
Yay I contributed to the megathread!

No, it means that THE THREAD is much more important than the K7.
Pentax may bring a camera out, ok.
We transcend these banalities and live for THE THREAD now.
Feed it, care for it ...
"is this pic of K30D?" will become your life, your religion, everything ...
Amen.

It's an extension of the Shake Reduction system, and allows the camera to be certified as earthquake proof.

It just means we don't know anything more now. If we are already sure of the specs at this point in time, I'm sure there will be further discussions of what Pentax did right, what they did wrong, and what they missed out on. Only a few days more till that happens.
