AFAIK camera manufacturers often use words like 'almost' or 'approx' when mentioning 100% viewfinder because no camera has 'precise' 100% viewfinder.

See here : Nikon | Imaging Products | Nikon D3
Ah I see. Thanks

I take the Chinese word to mean "approximately" or "about" more than "almost". If you notice, its the same word they also use to state that the sensor is 14.6MP.

Makes sense. So we are talking about a 100% viewfinder for all intents and purposes then.

There are 2 versions of specification of K-7. Funny...There is difference.
One has 1/180 x-sync, second - 1/250. For example.
Where did you get that 1/250? It is 1/180.

Folks, could we read any replies a post has before we leave a reply ourselves?
Actually, that's not always possible. By the time I reply sometimes a page of other responses have been added. We may as well be on IM!

Looks like the 77mm to me.

I guess they pictured it with that because it is a good looking lens - although they could equally have used the 35mm Macro ltd or one of the other DAs.
I think they chose the FA77 because everyone should have one on their camera.

Where is the big surprise?
These specs can be found in any other camera manufacturer...

May be they are using the old FA77 because you need a FF lens to use the new feature, a sensor that can be shifted...
(may be I am expecting too much)

What you guys are misreading is Hz and FPS.
Actually there's a much greater connection than you think. You see, when television was not yet digital, the system(s) used the electric current frequency to synchronise. The frequency is 60Hz (110V) for the US and 50Hz(220V) for Europe. Therefore we have 60 FIELDS (not FRAMES) per second for NTSC (60HZ), and 50 fields per second for PAL/SECAM (50Hz). The FIELD is actually half a frame with each field containg the even or odd lines of a frame only. Two consecutive fields make a FRAME - although in no interlaced system is a complete frame ever projected. The technique was effective and is still in use, but it produces many artifacts, mostly the famous "zebra" artifact and of course flickering.
Progressive systems do show the entire frame at once, hence the talk about 1080p frames per second.

The flicker frequency of you monitor or refresh rate as some call it, with modern technology displays is rather obsolete (pixels in TFT do not have to flicker) and applicable only to displays that actually have yet analog inputs (all TVs, most PC monitors). What it has become to mean is how many frames can your monitor display every second (again no flickering).
When all video becomes digital, monitor refresh rates will eventually be abandoned and replaced by actual fps.

Seriously, I think you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Can't it just be a really nice well-spec'd camera without some weird new feature of questionable utility?

New lens roadmap will be announced too. At least 3-4 new lenses.
