Out now at Scandinavian Photo:

Pentax Digitalkamera system K7D kamerahus Foto > Digitalkameror > Systemkameror > köp den hos Scandinavian Photo AB (my fav dealer in Sweden, not necessarily cheapest but best sortiment) 11995 SEK for the body = 1111 Euro
They have the package with the normal kit zoom also. No price yet on spare batery. And they list x-sync as 1/180
It is authoritatively 1/180, there is no question about that anymore.

Also they call it "K7D", heh

no more 3rd party chinese screens?! (unless they are expensive like katz eye$)
These have been available before, and like before, there is no split-image microprism screen available, so manual focus enthusiasts will have to buy KatzEyes or Chinese screens still. Sorry.

Right on time. Was to be expected.

I like this very much.

No, it's not a pic of K30D.

What are you guys going to do now?

Oh, but they do. Guess the server is just really slow to respond, maybe the image didn't load for you!

Finally someone "gets it" and makes a big deal of the water resistance!

I still can't load pentax.se or pentaximaging.com. Guess we all helped out to bring them down

Will you buy the K-7, Douglas?

It seems Pentax rushed the website design a bit. This is from Pentaximaging.com viewed with Firefox:

QuoteQuote:
Image Stabilization: English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Turkish, Greek, Russian, Korean, Traditional/Simplified Chinese, Japanese
And it's not the only one, most of the specs items and descriptions are "out of sync".

I recommend the youtube video posted earlier.
It explains the composition adjust and even has a picture of the external microphone!

Quoted from TOP:
"Shutter noise
One of the big deals about the K-7 to me is the shutter noise. It's very quiet. The main point of having a smallish camera is so that it's easy to carry it around with you wherever you go; and if you're using it as a visual notepad, you might call it, then quite often it's useful not to call attention to yourself by clacking away piercingly and drawing stares from anyone nearby. The K-7's shutter is quiet for an SLR by any standard, both in the level and the type of noise it makes. The AF noise is actually louder than the shutter."
That's what I'm talking about!
