Wait, are you going Pentax now? A few pages back you were all like "I would never even consider"

Pentax K-7 digital SLR announced and previewed: Digital Photography Review

EDIT: Looks like someone was faster than me to post this... Now reading the 12-page preview
why do they have 1080i video recording listed?

Spotted this:
"The K-7 has a 'P-TTL' pop-up flash unit which has an electronic catch-type release (meaning it can be raised manually or automatically by the camera). "

I didn't notice any option to turn this off in the menus. My Canon using mates curse the automatic pop-up on their flashes. Have I missed an option somewhere?
Flash A-mode = automatic pop-up flash, it is in the flash menu.
Same as in Pentax *ist DS and other entry level bodies from Pentax.

My K10D's strap is on my MX since that's a lighter cam and the strap is just under 1 1/4" wide. The Pentax Honda Racing Team strap is about 1 1/2" wide...and I had to have a NZ Pentaxian buy it locally then "export" it to me

The Pentax Honda strap might look too big on the smaller K-7. A big, beastly 400mm manual focus lens should solve that

Hello Erik... lets go back to post#2372 & re-read shall we?
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/592648-post2372.html

which was my first post, which eluded to my having never having considered pentax, but having been pulled into 'the thread' & being glad that I did, & that I was introducing myself & in the even that I were to switch that I even had done the research & had a lens line up saved on my desktop.

I hven't seen any mention of lens focus adjustments like the K20d has. I hope i'm just missing that and they didn't leave that out. That would be a deal breaker.

DPR has a thorough list of all the options in the custom settings, and focus adjustment is there. It is possible to set a global adjustment for all lenses, or individual settings for up to 20 lenses.

Oh thank god. It looks like a sweet camera, it would suck for it to hav a achilles flaw so crucial. Now that I'm used to having focus adjustment on my K20d, I'll never get a camera without it.

Oh, it is there in the camera.
Custom function number 36 - AF adjustment on/off, apply all or apply individual lenses.

not worth the red line of sore skin on my usually already half sunburned neck just to show off a logo
