Lens Correction function
A Lens Correction function adjusts for Distortion and Lateral Chromatic Aberrations, allowing you to maximize your image quality for every digital lens.*

* Compatible with D FA, DA, DA Limited and DA Star lenses. Distortion correction is not applied to the DA 10-17mm Fisheye lens.

That's different and a function that no other SLR has. What GeneralBenson was talking about is how in the K20D you can correct the focus for lenses that are a bit off.

LOL...that's why it doesn't go around my neck but on my shoulder or wrapped around my hand or dangling from one finger holding the strap. I have to worry about sunburn enough as it is, not to mention having a strap there

At the ALMS race last year, we were issued a lanyard for the hospitality tent and such. My dad said "Why is it in your pocket? It should be around your neck." Uhh maybe because I don't want a 1/4" line on my neck? lol

true, but I like to free my hands and having it just on one shoulder doesnt feel so secure. one thing that gets it away from the neck tho is to put it around your head and put one arm through the strap as well so its hanging on the side under your arm, then it hangs quite secure without much movement and u can easily grab it with one hand if moving through a crowd. not really so ready to shoot quickly tho

Exerpt from Danish gear site Zoom (Zoom Online - Zoom Online - Alt i kamera):

"Zoom had a prototype camera at the office, and we must say that we are duped/impressed by the new K-7. Build quality is top notch and it seems like a very tasty/cool camera, which we look forward to very much.

[...]

With K-7 begins a new era for Pentax. There is no doubt."

I believe ThinkTank makes a strap that attaches your camera to your bag straps, right in the middle. I wonder if I could rig something like that up for my Lowepro. That is ideal, IMO.

As Erik said, it's there. But if you use Contrast AF or manual focusing using Live View, focus adjustment would be a thing of the past and redundant. And all the front focusing and back focusing would no longer be a concern as well. Using the main sensor to focus (as in Live View) allow the possibility of giving you perfect focus. Contrast AF would probably be slower, but for non-action shot requiring critical focusing, it is an option.

Kinda wish they had raw available with hdr, or taking a 32bit hdr file that u could tone map yourself, I guess they didnt have the feature available in the software.

regarding software, the specs didnt say anything about new camera assistant, no tethering?

I need to check my calculations. sorry. Ignore me. 1.25 x 1536 x 1024p is 1920x1280. which is a very strange resolution .
1920x1280 is the native resolution of my 24 inch Dell monitor. Not that strange at all.

**edit**

My mistake, 1920x1200 is the native resolution of my monitor
