K-m / K2000 already droped the "D" part in the name, are you sure about the new camera still having a "D" in its name?

Too bad though, if this is a successor to the K20D, then the K30D name is much more logical..

I heard - K7 without any D.

The last camera was MZ-7 with 7

It's a rumour like everything in this place :-)
But the fact is that many distributors have been notified that the premier has been coming... And they don't say anything about "7" not "30";-)

Hoya/Pentax are on record saying they do not consider this camera to be the K20D's successor.

semantics...
This will (most probably) be the "better" camera for people who wants to upgrade their K20D, or maybe upgrade something else (K10/K200 etc) but want to go one step higher than the current (pretty old) K20D.

There is nothing announced. OTOH there is a successor to the K200D due early next year.
