MOM, Look what they've done to my LX!

And I'm unable to attend the announcement live

The grip is so comfortably cold that I can feel the heat of my blood pulsating while I enter another world via that wonderful viewfinder, ouch.

And the gorgeous bird jumped swiftly from the branch and flew away through the morning mist. I hope that the 8 frames I shot are OK.

Now do I sell my LX to get this new... LX? Or wait until fall and try and scoop one up, plus the requisite DA wide angle.

Looking good, Pentax.

You wait. I can just imagine how nice it will be to put those two together side-by-side.

Not to mention you can still keep shooting film alongside digital if you feel the bug again.

Keeping that in mind, this is a remarkably quick turnaround from teasers to announcement. C'mon, Pentax, you've got to give us at least 6 months to brew over the obscure symbols on the new buttons before you actually announce anything? Next month? I'm feeling rushed. Disoriented, more like. I think I need to sit down.

Oh...I just got it...

I could not figure out what was meant by "LX" until I turned K7 upside down. Now if that is not tricky, I don't know what is...

@Steve (and others): I am new to Pentax and have never used any film SLR's let alone the LX. I was just curious what attributes of the LX make it so endearing to so many long-time Pentaxians. I have seen several different threads where posters say they wish this next camera is a modern digital LX. Others (MX, KX) are mentioned but it seems that the LX is more revered? Anyone care to give some insight/history? Thanks...
