Yes. There is ISO number displayed all the time, on the top LCD.

Some more questiones (please reply if you can)

- how it is with back 3" LCD? Better resolution? Or same?
- direct system flash compesation via buttons?
- x-sync? Shorter then 1/180?
- live view - visible image on LCD when focusing?
- is somewhere (top lcd, VF) visible selected AF point?

It is not super small. But just slightly slimmer than the K200, but larger than the K-m.

I want compact SLRs, as always, thats a good reason I like their MX and MZ etc., and that is the good old tradition of Pentax. As HOYA has realised themselves, the late Pentax has forgotten about their good old tradition and they have now finally re-made one!

Frankly, everytime I pick up my 5D, I feel like pick up a brick in my hands! :-( Two years, no difference.

Well..

I think from now on, I shall only answer questions/posts that I could/should answer. If I don't respond, please forgive me :-)

No. But as usual, the +/-EV button will do it.

Dimensions of Pentax K-7 (comparison table)

Three Sets of K-7 Dimensions Update!
@RiceHigh, so my recent own dimension extrapolation was correct. I even told you I derived 130.5mm as width. Same as you have measured now. That's an amazing match and I herewith state that I consider your size claims to be credible and accurate.

do you think you can make a comparison chart as to show the comparison side by side with K20D or K2000?
My post above already contained a size comparison chart and I updated it to reflect the new figures:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/572812-post1215.html

Repeated here:

............. K-m K200D ..K-7 .K20D
Width [mm]: 122.5 133.5 130.5 142.0
Height [mm]: 91.5 _95.0 _96.0 101.0

The K200D width doesn't include the neck strap buckles either.

So, for the time being, we may conclude that K-7 has the size of the K200D, just 1 mm higher and 3 mm narrower.

Wow, exact width and height we two have measured, separately!! But, unlike mine, you have no depths! ;-D (I measured all the 3 important depth dimensions :-))

Thanks for your "reinforcement". :=)

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/572812-post1215.html

Repeated here:

............. K-m K200D ..K-7 .K20D
Width [mm]: 120.0 133.5 130.5 142.0
Height [mm]: 95.5 _95.0 _96.0 101.0

I believe that the K200D width includes the neck strap buckle. W/o, K200D may be 130mm as well. Can anybody go and measure his K200D width w/o neck strap buckle for better comparison?

For the time being, we may conclude that K-7 has the exact size of the K200D, maybe a mm higher and narrower.

No, I updated my chart to reflect your figures (see my first quoted post #1190).
My most recent own figures (reported as 130 x 100) had been 130.5 and 99.0.
But exact same width indeed. I only had access to photos ...
