But do forgive me for some minor derivations against factory specs, though.
I'll forgive you. And congrats! I do hope this one makes you a rabid Pentax fanboy!!! Thanks.

So there is no EVF? Kind of disappointed.
I had a look at a friend's Lumix G1 the other day. It took about a half minute for the EVF to give me a headache.
I wouldn't treat EVF as a feature. For me, it's deal breaker.

Look at a K200D, add 1cm in height and you have a K-7, thereabout.

Hey I love my K20d the camera has paid for itself 10 fold. The only thing I have had problems with is in the studio when it wants to hunt for the lock. Very frustrating when shooting kids. The other is indoor hockey. However the later I have been able work around. AC
How do you work around that focusing problem in hockey? And are you shooting through the plexiglass?

I, for one, would appreciate that. At least on the topic of other people who post here.

Your comments on photography and other subjects are more than welcome.

Cogito et cetera, as Descartes did not write.

Q:

Do the new K-7 use AA or D-LI50 batteries?

Is this the top/"high-end" model in the new K-series?

About the same size as the K200D, but how is it built?

Dust and weather sealed?

Now they have K-m and K-7, will Pentax come with a dSLR that's fits under or above the K-7?

They will continue to sell the K20D?

Makes sense to *me,* overall, if posing as an 'insider' isn't what's important to you.

Why is posturing about who-knows-what-when even the *important* thing about a camera?

Why is this not fun?

Oh, right. Boys.

I think, the more of a know-it-all you are, the more fun it is to *not* know something. A few clues, and people really gravtate toward it. I think it's a good thing, even if some don't play nicely. It's play. It's good. Play is how we learn.

I hate to see people come to strife over it, but hey, we're already getting some entertainment and mental exercise out of someone merely 'leaking' a poster. No one's even bought the thing, yet.

So, what strikes me the most, is how nice we Pentaxians are. There are quite a few now with the press release pictures in their possession (I'm one of them although I'm still missing the top plate shot) and yet no picture has been leaked out. Isn't that in itself extraordinary? Though I'm sure that the most important things cannot be seen from the exterior shots, so I'm just as excited as most people on this forum.

I think the dimensions are indeed possible. The K200D's dimensions with a little extra height for a bigger VF--sounds fantastic!

I always wondered why the K20D had to be so much bigger and heavier than the K100D. The sensor's the same size. How much does that front dial weigh?

Seriously though, I like the feel of the K20 and can use it for long periods without discomfort--those rubber grips on the sides and back feel very nice in the hand.

I started out on the K100, and loved it. But the K20 is such a better camera all around. I recently bought another K100 because I love the size. Perfect to throw in a bag with a pancake on it for times when I shouldn't really be bringing a camera at all .

But this new model could replace them both on my shelf.

Good question, which has not been addressed by the rumours so far, I believe.

My guess is neither, but rather a new Li-Ion battery. This is based on... nothing, really... it's just a guess

How about the body material? Does it feel like traditional plastic body or with some metallic frame?
