I disagree. I don't think it ought to be bundled with the 18-55, but maybe there ought to be a kit with one of the higher quality zooms or a limited lens. When I bought my K10D, I wanted to buy it with the 16-45, instead of the 18-55, but it wasn't offered that way. So, I went with the 18-55 since the package price gave me a nice discount on the lens. Don't get me wrong...the 18-55 is a good lens for what it is. But I've sinced passed it along to my wife and I still lust for the 16-45 or the 17-70. In the meantime, I'm more than happy to use my K10 with my old A series 35-105. I guess my point is that Pentax could have made another $100 bucks or so off of me when I made my initial purchase, simply by packaging their products differently.
