How are you doing Mike!?? Everything is good on that side of the world?

Regards,
Marc
Seems me needs more time behind the computer!

All is fine here Marc, hope the same goes for you! I was quite busy with my paid shoots the last couple of months, but I've tuned them down to a maximum of three to four per month. At least that way I've got some time left to spend on nature photography. Having well paid shoots (mainly events) is nice, but not if they interfere too much with my nature photography

It's 200mm macro season again as well so what more could I ask for!

Hope all goes well with your photography as well (and social life of course..)

All the best,
Mike

If that futurama picture is accurate, I'm excited. I've always envied Sony for their ergonomic grips (and the grip for the MZ-S), and if this is all true, it looks like pentax has followed suit. bravo!

I have already speculated it is the 30mm come back as DA 29/1.0 WR. The question is could it be done, and what would it cost ????

A more likely explanation is probably that that is how the K7 behaves without any lens....

Maybe with manual lenses instead of defaulting with "f--" it shows "f1.0"

Camera can handle aperture f/1.0, it is in the system, but there isn't any lens available that handles it. Oh, aperture f/1.0 also indicates an expanded metering range for the exposure system.

Features and Operation of the Ka Mount

Describes the code corresponding to contacts on the mount and the respective min/max aperture values.

As Pentax never produced better than F/1.2 lens, there's doubt about two codes but those two codes are.. available so probably can be used to f/0.8 to f/1.1 or something along those lines.

One needs to mod a lens to know more

It's probably got this mounted: Pentax | C60812 8mm to 48mm f/1.0 Manual Zoom Lens | C60812

- they've listened to all those complaints about missing a _fast_ wide angle zoom lens

If there now is a dedicated ISO button the OK-button could become the white balance button.
It could have a dedicated WB button!

C60812 is a CCTV lens and does not have the resolving power needed for any of the d-slr's
