NX is not micro 4/3. In fact it might have the exact same sensor of the K-7.

They possibly will not follow the K-7 since they are very busy developping the NX. That said, many (electronic) parts can be shared between the 2 cameras and some R&D related to Liveview and video could be shared too.

I think that K-m, K-7 and K200D are 99% work of Pentax.
And it's hard to say anything about GX-7.
Maybe K-7 will be on sale under another name under Samsung brand later, but not now.
And I doubt.

For Samsung, their NX is official, not rumors. And it will be here this year.
And forget about full frame, they will be pushing NX and they are hoping that it will be their ticket to be one of the big players.

Exactly.
But NX will have to use the Samsung 15MP APS-C sensor mkII.
As does K-7 (99% sure).
And I doubt that Samsung is making two different mkII versions...

Both sensors had to be upgraded to support HD video.

So, their is no way both companies didn't cooperate in implementing their respective way to read out the sensor fast enough to incorporate HD video. And if it only was Samsung telling Pentax how to do it...

Samsung is the world's largest electronics company. It was already announced that Samsung is working on a full fame sensor. Nikon, Canon and Sony all support multiple sensor formats. It would be shortsighted to say that Samsung or Pentax cannot. From a marketing stand point, product launches too close together dull the attention that each new product can generate. After the launch of the NX we will probably hear more about other formats.

Hi Philippos,

Here are three links that reference the Samsung interview by Barney Britton and Chris Cheesman in the Amateur Photographer, a publication in the UK.

I wonder whether Pentax is going to give away their newest technology away for Samsung to stamp their logo on this time? As if Pentax is having some significant upgrades this time.
