Who's the Looser User

Ok, forget the camera, let's talk user. No one has an NDA on user features:

Would this be users with big hands?
Users heavily invested in accessories?
Users who hate being told to get a grip?
Users who wear glasses?
Left handed users?
Users with a "chimp" thumb? (Use left thumb activated review button a lot)
Users who don't like left thumb prints on their LCD?
Users who don't like sticking their nose into other people's touch screen menu systems?
Users who don't like to be confined to a particular bracket?
Users who suffer from seizures when exposed to video flicker?
Users who like to express their personal style with a studio full of hot pink Alien-Bees, silver limiteds and white K-Ms?
Users who shoot in daylight?
Users who shoot in caves?
Users who shoot sports?
Users who literally shoot from the hip?
Users who shoot off at the mouth?...

(By the way... O-ME53 Eyecup clue - Same VF? No 100% coverage in VF?)

how is that a problem? One new gimmicky nikon comes out with a twirlly screen and now every camera without one has a problem? Gimme a break...
I know someone who wants to upgrade from a bridge cam to an SLR. Looking at Best Buy, she had 2 options. One, was a Sony with the "twirly" screen...the other, a Nikon. Those were the only 2 "features" she knew.

Don't put it past anyone to do anything...

Hey Ogl,

You've really kept a lot of people guessing!
I've never seen a thread with such a definitive title have so many question marks in it.

Or have I? Ooo...there goes another question mark

Oh, and if the "one problem" with the body is not the screen, then my 2nd guess is that it runs on 4xAA cells instead of Li-Ion. *That* would bother me a lot.
I actually think it would be an amazing feat if they can get good mileage out of AA batteries when using live view and video recording (assuming this new body has it).

OGL, as you cannot reveal what you know, I have one question for you. Do you plan on buying the new model?

Sounds like you should've told her to stick with the bridge cam if a twirly screen is one of her top needs. You should also tell her the slr won't take better pictures for her...

K-7's AF is better than Canon's. IMO. I can't say if it's better than Canon EOS-1D Mark III, but better than all rest cameras.

As for Nikon D300 - it's hard to say, but i think it could catch D300 up...

Am I missing something here?

ogl, with all this hype you're creating with this new K-7 but won't spill the beans about it, do you have an NDA with Pentax?

If you don't, then what the deal? You claim to know a lot more about the K-7 than you're saying here... Any particular reason for not sharing this?

ogl,
How about the high ISO noise performance? How does it compare with the K20D and/or the D300?

Oooh. Sorry, ogl.
Didn't realise that.
On the other hand, it seems like you've already shared quite a bit about it - is there stuff you can disclose and stuff you can't? If so, then you may as well just say what you can and leave out the rest...

Perhaps then, it has >11 focus points?

I have no pictures. It's very important question for me too.
I'd like to see weaker AA filter than K20D has, but lower noise.

AF points is not important.

I'm sure May, 21 is the Big Day in Pentax World.
K-7 is camera with SOUL and powerful, stylish, slim and hurricane machine.
The camera can make happy almost every Pentaxian.

It's very hard for me to believe that the upcoming K-7 will have faster af than current top model DSLR's. I'm not sure what you mean with "better". Better as in nearly 100% success rate (sharp photos) or better as in faster than almost any other DSLR out there? Please explain.
