The photos are press photos which I cannot show here.
I have compared the images by scaling the bajonett ring to the same size.
The mirror isn't square.

What does this mean?
I think the most probable explanation is that we will get roughly a 100% viewfinder.
Aha, that makes sense to me now. Hopefully the viewfinder magnification is good as well.

OK, what pictures are you talking about? Are they available for public display, or are they only for people with NDA's?
In theory, yes, these are for people with NDA's. In practice, many Pentax enthusiasts already have the pictures. And with that I mean complete pictures of which only small crops have been shown here (like you can find on RH's blog).

Like I said, Wieland, you are wrong in your assumption about the mirror!

That's a Pentax patent, yes, but it's not to say that the K-7 will have that viewfinder!

If only my KatzEye will fit... I would hate to have to spend another EUR 150 to have my preferred custom gridlines etched on another focus screen...

Will the format change? Will the new(?) metering imply a change in the focus screen's brightness? I wonder...

Oh... and will the O-ME53 VF loupe still fit?

I cannot imagine they would not weather seal the body.

It goes against the entire K-7 mountain, ruged outdoors concept.

I'm expecting the body to be plastic.

Disappointment with the body/controls themselves and not the specs, well how many things could it be. Lack of the pc sync port from the k20d perhaps

The E-3 replacement, on the other hand, has a very good chance of delivering all of these features, except the 40~50 AF points (which I personally don't need).

Prog.
but when will that one come??? the E3 took ages and now oly is having many lower specced models AND is venturing into micro land...
