If no AF assist lamp, then it's the new AF contract detect sensor. =)

My real guess on the "problem" is that the screen is still the same "low-resolution" unit of the K20D.

I think we can take it as a given that it will use a 3' screen with at least 920,000 pxels....

Faster AF for god sake

however i noticed that my C and N friends fast AF gives them a not so sharp image when we viewed the image on the PC, iPentax Slow AF is like or i might say 99.99% accurate on focusing. Just my 2 cents

you don't need AF - assist lamp. AF system would be big suprise Don't ask me, can't tell more details.
I have been thinking down that route a couple of times....so are you saying it has a TTLLR Thru the lens laser ranger ? Or maybe it is not fully thru the lens, the laser is what has been called the AF light? Would that work on really long distances?

It's camera hard to say about class. But, it's not D90 at all.
Higher. Pentax always makes special cameras. Not ordinary.

Hey Ogl,

Were the square format rumors somewhat true, is Pentax going to stay with APS-C for the K-7, but allow for the vertical, horizontal and square formating of the image via a special APS-C sensor?

You've really kept a lot of people guessing!

Square is somebody's fantasy. No lenses for square format.

Sensor is APS-C, not square format.
