I've checked video specs of 5D Mk II and D90.
D90 is very weak...5D Mk II has 1080P, but weak too.

5D Mk II has only 2 sizes

• 1920 x 1080 (1080P)
• 640 x 480 (VGA)
• 30 fps

Running time ONLY 12 min for 1080P, 24 min for VGA

K-7 is very strong in video modes.
Maybe 1920x1080@24, 25, 30p and 1280x720@24, 25, 30, 50 and 60p... just dreaming awake... pal and ntsc happy people

Time for an better file system then that very old and unsafe FAT32. EXT4 is much better.

No file of mine will I ever place on NTFS. FAT32 is already doubtable..

And ofcourse next to EXT4 there are also other filesystems that will be much better and safer then FAT32. But, Pentax will go following the standards of SD(HC)...
Something readable with every PC, please

I like opensource from kernel 2.2.13, and trust me, NTFS is rather solid. Actually, every NT* thing is very good, too bad these goodies never pass to desktop side.

Judging by that picture the Memory compartment is going to be about 1cm larger than the K20D. Making it just about big enough for a CF card. If that is the case then I am certain that its for the 1080p Video that we will be getting.
Edit. Nevermind.
It says SDHD on the side, so the actual video mode is still to be determined here. I think....

Perhaps room for two cards? Probably not, but who knows...

What I like most is the fact that the connection for the remote is located at the lower right of the body instead of where it sits in the K10D/K20D. My neckstrap keeps getting in the way when I want to open that door and having the other connectors out in the open when using a remote is not always a good idea either. So that's solved with a dedicated door for remote as well as the new location. Another reason why the K-7 looks like an improvement to me! I'm running out of reasons why I shouldn't get one asap...

Wow, it looks HUGE....
Or is it not lifesize???
Look at teh latch... Maybe this one it intended for K200D users, it does not resemble the K20D latch

Strange, the door compartment doesn't seem to be using a locking mechanism as the K20.

Not strange, same design as in K200D which works fine and is also sealed.

Not a change I like that much. I used the K200D and while it's easier to open the door, it's also easier to open it accidently. I also think it's more prone to wear.

The springy memory card door is so fun to open, though

As far as video goes...large file sizes would be a huge turnoff for me at least, since I could only see using it for 5 minutes or less at a time (if at all). If a 30s clip is 100MB...ewww. Just an example.

No point for HD if it's just going on youtube. Good that they make resolution selectable
