How about a choice for those of use who might someday like to have one, but are still trying to scrape up the money to buy a K20D and so are enjoying using our K100D for the forseable future?

This thread will test your IQ. (Watch, some humorless person will not get it and take issue with this!)

I don't have to see that camera to know I want it, it would be strange development indeed if it went backward in development from the K10D. I will need to see the price.

Not really, I have a business need that the K-10 and K-20 do not fill. I have a healthy investment in Pentax glass and accessories that will not work with any other brand camera. If this camera does not meet these needs then I may have to jump ship. I would greatly prefer to purchase a K7 that meets my needs as regardless of body price it will cost me less than going to an entire new system.

Now if all you do is take pics of your kids opening presents on X-mas morning your observation may apply.

I make money with my gear.

Choices, Choices ...

Mud jack my patio and end the water in the basement or buy yet another body.

Hmmmmm.

I can always put my stuff on stilts. Count me in for the body.

As long as it has all the goodies the rumours suggest. (There! A way out !!!!)

I'd buy one! If I had the money... But I don't, so I won't.

Still want one though.

I see more posts heaping expectation and more expectation on Pentax users, from people who don't even have the most recent cameras...

I, in common with many others, am still enjoying the K10D and following the rumour threads with interest and humour. It's not as if all older Pentax digital cameras will stop working at midnight on May 20th... If the new camera offers me something altogether different I will consider it....but my K10D in combination with FA*, FA Limited, Sigma EX and DA* gives me everything I want at the moment...

The prospect of a FF Pentax, like the D3 and D700, is seductive but I will be poised ready for the announcement on May 21st, and the subsequent fall-out... But, when the day comes that I have outgrown the K10D then I will consider the options.

Still looking for a NIB MZs, so the K-7 will have to wait a while.

To base a business decision on what might be is a bit odd if you ask me...
To be fair I have heard this before though....
The same can be said of this somewhat pointless but whimsical thread.....

Seems like the K-7 has sought much interest in the Pentax community and many of the existing Pentaxians have strong desire to upgrade.

I believe when the inside specs are released, more of those undecided but interested Pentaxians will act! Or, in the other way around? ;-D

Me 2. But the "toy" should show real significant improvements or far more new features before I would give my bucks.

Poll really needs an option for, 'No hurry, pretty happy right now, actually. We'll see.'

I mean, for me, it's kinda like, yeah, if this new finder they got rocks and they give us another stop of good high ISO color and another stop or two of high-ISO monochrome, well might want that. I'll buy more glass for my K20d with confidence I'll have something to put behind it when the time comes. I'm pretty confident there'll be something. What they gonna do, bomb the Ilford plant? I can make photos.

I'll wait until it's on closeout and get it for $300 with WR kit lens. Being about three years behind the curve is a very good idea in these stupid digital times.
