I'll wait until it's on closeout and get it for $300 with WR kit lens. Being about three years behind the curve is a very good idea in these stupid digital times.
I bought the ist *DS for about $700, I bought the K10D for about $700, I just bought (about a month ago) the K20D for about $700 (actually missed the low point on this one) and if I wait 2 years or so I'll prolly be able to buy the K7 for about $700.

...and some more money...

I'm pretty happy with my K20 right now, but I will say that if this body blows it out of the water in terms of size and features, I would figure out some way to eventually get one. If I did decide to get one, I'd most likely do something like let the price come down a good bit (30-50%) on a new one or pick up a used one from someone who's running off to Canikonland (like I did with the K20) and just wants to dump their Pentax gear.

To be fair I have heard this before though....
The same can be said of this somewhat pointless but whimsical thread.....
Not when a lost job opp, because my current gear does not get the job done, would pay for the body.
This is Pentax, I'm not waiting on the first DSLR from Sanyo...

Count me out. With a *istD, K10D and K20D with enough lens to fill a separate bag I am set for a while. The K7 doesn't seem to be a K20D replacement and I will wait and see what future FF developments emerge.

I lied.
