so you're already like, 4.94 million off
Good work my man. Few people would actually take that literally...very thorough of you.

Very true - we would probably all be better people if we spent more time on the computer dutifully chasing every post that materialized on Pentax Forums. I'm sure our personal lives would flourish.

Hmmm...maybe. Next time I'll make sure I shun my family/friends/and job in order to dedicate my life to reading all 5 million posts on the k7 in an effort to guarantee that I don't make the eqregious mistake of reposting your undeniably unique observation. If I have stolen any of your thunder...I ask one thousand pardons.

seriously - lighten up man....
You didn't have to read 5 million posts, you could've just searched for olympus in the 5million post thread...

*laugh.*

Well, if anything, I'd say it 'looks like' a P3 pr p3n, only digital. (too bad *those* weren't made of sterner stuff, that's a nice shape) Kind of 80's early-AF retro in some ways, too, just narrower.

I'm actually a bit surprised that we haven't seen more 'design exuberance' than we have, since designers are relieved of the need for film transport, but if anything, camera design's being whittled back down to certain conventional forms, more or less. Designers are still pretty much working around the same kinds of *hands* and all.

looks "more" like like P5, and that's metal camera, not plastic like P3.

Well, it's only a couple of people who cannot phrase their thoughts in a civil and respectful manner. It happens to the best of internet forums. Nothing new.

As someone who knows quite a bit about Olympus, having just come from that camp, I'd have to say it bears a decent resemblance in the overall lines of the body to the E-30. Some hints of other bodies in there as well, but especially the E-30.
Well yes, but the "new K" is smaller.
And weather sealed.
