All the time... people getting all dizzy about the specifications about the new camera...nothing is certain, apart from its appearance...

But many of us already knew that based on the leaked press photos. So tell us something new please. Things like "5.2" are tantalizing

But I don't have anything to say - I'm trying to figure out if Om81 had a chance to see the camera itself or just some photos with specs maybe...

Regarding the fps of the camera Roland already posted in response to someone that the fastest speed is (IIRC) a cropped lower-resolution mode and indicated tha full res was stuck at 3fps.

I suspect what we will see is something like the following:

3.5fps
6fps at 6mp - mirror up (with some bizarre compression artefacts probably)
10-15fps at 3mp - mirror up
20fps at 1080p (so called video mode)
24 or 30 fps at 720p (video mode)

This sounds suitabley Pentax like - i.e. trying to make the best of a bad situation. In all honesty I severely doubt we'll get full unfettered 1080p at 24fps.

edit: its possible Ogl's, sorry I mean Om81's, claim of 5.2 relates to 5.2mp at 6fps or something along those lines. Or it could just be BS.

What about improvements that really affect photography?
I haven't heard much about this.
E.g.

S/N at higher ISO? Significant improvements?
AF speed? Significant improvements?
AF+SDM speed? Significant improvements?
WB below 4000 K? Significant improvements?

That's what I am interested in, not fps etc.

Me too but unforunately the only thing Ogl etc. have spoken about is fps. I think one of them mentioned something about the AF being a surprise but this means is anyone's guess.

The new camera has different speed modes, and yes fastest is with limitations.
This is quite common. Nikon's fastest is with reduced bits to make it easier for the in-camera processing to handle the information.
