I guess it's only a matter of time before we hear some information from someone who's seen the demo or whatever at one of those locations in Japan.

Provided the K-7 does do HD video, it would be smart if they had a pre-recorded video on the cameras that you could watch via the viewfinder or via HDMI that goes over the features. That could be what they mean by live talk or whatever.

Something serious, could someone that speaks Japanese compare how they phrased that hands on experience and live chat with, say, a live television event?

I'm halfway thinking on the 21st they are going to stream a live video feed of people playing with the K-7 to get their reactions, filmed BY a K-7.

As in, it should say, "Live on the 21st, a hands on experience and chat!"

On a lighter note, it's pretty funny that the Philippines doesn't even have our own local Pentax site. It's as if we're strictly relegated to manufacturing. Granted, we're a small country, so it's understandable. I just find it amusing.

Why "No info". Look at the bottom of picture - ƒfƒWƒ^ƒ‹ˆêŠáƒŒƒtƒJƒƒ‰FPENTAX - there is six places with dates and hours where camera will be introduced to potential customers.

I mean no info about the camera itself. Info about the introduction, none about the camera.

If the recent introduction of the Nikon D5000 is any indication, there'll be some leaks a couple of days early as retailers and such prepare to add the new camera to their website. Some will accidentally post specs and photos and pricing early. So be sure to visit your favorite purchasing sites and post up anything you may find!
