I just got an email :-(

They did not consider me good enough.....
Apparently
-my list of Pentax equipment was not long enough
-I am not long enough on the internet with a good portfolio
-I am not able to experss myself clearly

And they wanted macro's (I shoot them), sports (combine- and lawnmowerraces no sport??), portraits (indeed no), countryside (shoot that too)...

Damn, now I have to buy one...

yep. LR 1.4 and PPL/PPB (3.61) cannot covert .pef files. (yet?!) I've had read, .dng should work.

Apple's FinalCutExpress(3.5.1) can import the .avi-Files of the K-7 without problems.

I have now started to report about my testing experience. I started a separate thread to keep my observations sorted and made my first contribution to it.

The thread is here:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/63439-my-k-7-alpha...port-blog.html

There, I may see K-7 questions directed to myself first
