*Mark Dimo ---- Sports
* Lance B ---- Everyday shooter
*Mousehill ---- Macros
* Hinman ----Landscape
* Marc Langille ----Wildlife
*Pete Pan -----Street shots and people
*Benjie Kanarek ---Fashion

cheer,

Rene
I would agree with this list, very fine shooters, with the exception of Lance...although his shooting is very good, he has never uttered a negative word about Pentax in his life, how objective can that be? When a person gets a minor firmware upgrade and begins to get wild and spectacular results not remotely related to the update....I think I want a more objective tester. If you want a pre-determined result, amazingly positive, Lance is your man!

Always willing to sacrifice, that's Arpe.

I'm offering to take your K20D to document how you stress-test the K7 with some "Rugby in the Rain".

the K7 would be an awesome upgrade from the *ist DS if all the rumored specs are correct...

No model since has convinced me to "upgrade" mine. If anything the *istDS is a testament to Pentax's ability to quietly make a good camera that keeps working. I've recently added product photography to my list of accomplishments with this body and can understand why any *istDS owner would keep theirs in service.

Thanks Herman for the listing/summary! I suspect I will put a K-7 to the test if the specs seem attractive for me in certain areas (high ISO performance, AF speed improvement and FPS). I may have to seek out other testing options if this is to no avail...

However, I prefer Marc Langille, instead of the often misspelled Mark/Marc Languille...

Cheers,
Marc

Hi Marc,
Sorry for the typo. And now it's FIXED as Marc Langille.

You, HinMan and Falconeye are the top 3 that qualify.
So how can we have PentaxForums' mods to submit your names to be the K7 tester?

No worries Herman - just all in fun!!

Send the request/previous post you tallied up to Adam??? I have moderator status, but I'll not do it. I sincerely appreciate the votes from folks, but I believe in remaining neutral.

Regards,
Mar

Ok, I've sent PM to Adam.

I hope we can improve our Forum to have more extensive Pentax review like DPR or even better one day

I am deeply wounded that I, who bailed to Canon because of lack of performance, was not chosen in a chance to redeem myself.
