Absolutely, and it confused me quite a bit since I'm in a different timezone than Pentax USA.
May 20th 7am on the east coast means 0:00 on the International Date Line (GMT +12, the reference time), which means it will already be May 21th in Japan (3am). Makes sense as the date on the Japanese website is May 21th.
That would be 1pm here and it's good news as I certainly wouldn't get up at 7am to see the countdown hit zero
Edit: ok everything above is wrong. I forgot the daylight saving time and I think the counter at Pentax Imaging USA is borked. It seems to me it's accurate only if you are in the Japanese timezone. The real announcement time would be May 21th 0:00 in Japan, so May 20th 5pm here in Paris, and 11am in NY.
