Hey guys, since there are many posts about K-7 I may repeat something, but here's a quick summary of K-7 features :
14MP sensor - probably the same as in K20
Improved AF, maybe even faster than in Nikon
Larger viewfinder than in K20
No FN button
HDMI and MIC
Smaller body but with great ergonomy.
Very low noise

I must've missed something somewhere - where's the SR on/off?

Indeed, many people will like the interesting new features of the improved SR system.
What new features? It's On or it's OFF nothing more.

Is the AF control a button or a joystick for selecting points (when manual selection is enabled)?

If this is true, then it is sad for me, who shoots exclusively to RAW.
That's it.

So do I. When you will know specs...
It's small machine-gun.
It's dangerous machine gun. Could kill 6 in a tick of the clock.

Yes; but there's more to SR than meets the eye. The whole system can be used for other things than SR too and that was that I'm referring to.

To take unsharp photos? No, that was not what I was referring to

Think about lenses like this one: K 28/3.5 Shift

It's a SHIFT lens, not a TILT lens

But with the limited range of sensor movement (as compared with a shift lens), will it make that much of a difference?

Well, frankly, just the firmware update on the K20d's SR *does* mean I turn it off an awful lot less. I'd just as soon be able to turn it off; (I pride myself on having pretty darn steady hands on a good day:I'm used to using some pretty clunky ol' brass and glass in lower-light conditions) ...but it's working pretty good. I'm just hoping removing the switch isn't just some engineer's hubris.

Do like the switch being there, though. I get tired, it's like, 'OK, go-go-gadget gyroscopes!'

And that's what I do not know. But it's stated that the sensor can be moved at will.
