boy i envy canon and nikon users but my loyalty towards pentax is holding me back.

I don't think it's a fake.
Yesterday I've seen Barack Obama on Fox News handling a K-7 and saying that his slogan "Yes we can" originally is the slogan Pentax had planned for the K-7. Obama deeply apologized for stealing it and announced to give away the first 10.000 K-7's for free to anyone who plants a tree today.
