Unless its autofocus speed is appreciably fast with good predictive focus; Image quality is much better I feel it is not great or long step forward over already good K20D. IMHO.

The small light by the side of the grip, could it be white balance thing rather than focus assist, as it has been mentioned that there are focus assist leds on pop up flash.

Any chance of Hyperfocal mode?

no it hasn't actually. Someone just photoshopped an existing flash with LEDs on it and those who didn't read about it and just looked at the picture came up with the whole LED flash story...

The leaked specs mention 5.2 fps in jpeg or raw (15/14 frames PEF/DNG).

If that doesn't cure some of the "machine gunners", only a 1D will...:ugh:
It only showed 5.2fps next to JPEG and nothing next to raw so I assumed they were too embarrassed to show the 3fps for RAW again. In fact the 5.2fps is for all 3 formats in that section. Understood...

No, for white balance sensor window, you would expect it to be.... white; and not transparent.

from the look of it, I think I prefer the backside of the K20D.
Also, the af switch on that bulge looks very ugly...
They goofed up big time here...
It seems to me that the AF button on the bulge would be more easily differentiated/located by the bulge YMMV

By adding a light source type to its data range, and driven by a greatly improved algorithm, this AF system assures reliable, responsive autofocus operation superior in speed and accuracy to the previous system. The K-7 also incorporates an AF-assisting spotbeam projector in its built-in flash unit to improve autofocusing accuracy in the dark.
nice, very nice on paper, but really remains to be tested in the field.
overall, a great job by Pentax.

does anyone know if focus tracking is improved as well ?

I also see "Remote control in Bulb". Does it means I will be able to do bulb exposure with just 2 push on the wireless remote?
I did that with my K10D all the time.... until i get myself a shutter cable release with a lock hehe.

To me it just looks like it overlays gridlines on the LV image so composition adjustments can be made by moving the camera. I could be wrong though.

Good catch. I actually tried to find out, but couldn't make sense of it. When you select that item, you'll see this:

Flickr Photo Download: K-7 Image composition adjustment?

I forgot to include that image in my gallery and now I have added it.

Can anyone provide an educated guess?

Keep in mind that this is firmware 0.20 and this option may well be gone in the final firmware.

Normal Live View would already do this.
And it would have said display grid line, rather than "Composition Adjust." in the camera setup menu.
