Has the "official" clock changed? Release time now 10AM EDT?

OK, I was under the impression that the K-7 announcement was scheduled for 7am EDT, at least it was when I looked last night on my home computer. I just looked on my work computer (which is set to correct EDT time, ie 3:15 as I write this) and the "official" clock is now reading 18 hrs and 45 minutes. If my math is correct that gives an official release time of 10 AM not 7 am.

Oh my God!!! A possible three hour delay. Something terrible must have happened to the K-7!

10AM makes more sense if the official deadline is midnight Tokyo time.

Of course it's more fun to imagine that something horrible may have happened...

Still the same!

I checked with PENTAX Digital Cameras and DSLRs - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site and it is still the same.
The launch will be 7 am PDT.
I think they follow PDT (Pacific Daylight Time), same like us in West Coast.
East Coast of US is 3 hours faster so it will be 10 am EDT for New York.

At least you have an official clock.
The Pentax UK site makes absolutely no mention of the K-7 whatsoever.

And not only that, I'm scared to think what Pentax UK will charge us...

Actually the timer on pentaximaging.com is based on your LOCAL clock.
meaning: Move your local clock time 10 hours ahead - and the timer will show 10 hours less.

try it and see for yourself.

That was the case some hours ago, but now they changed it and countdown timer no more depends on computer time but shows actual time till announcement of new camera.

pentaximaging.com says only 8 hours 21 minutes on my machine, at 22:38 CEST...

pentax.de says 17 hours 21 minutes, though.

I think the flash code doesn't quite work with either different time zones or localised date formats.

I tested this issue a few days ago, and right now
both times - my local clock changed the website timer...

Anyway, right now my local time is 23:46 and the timer says 16 hours and 13 minutes.

You are right, there was a delay.
I remember that it was suppose to be tomorrow at 7:00 my time.
Now it's set to end at 16:00.... :\
