did pentax only have 1 enginer that knows how to make a shutter with faster than 1/180 flash sync and did he retire before they started making digital slrs. or maybe he went around to all of the competitors and showed them instead

OK, found some....
  • Extended information in semi transperent OLED display in viewfinder
  • Automatic fixing of CA and distortion for DA and DFA lenses;
  • SR can be tuned by user
  • Exposure system will not only meter light but also use image database to decide what exposure is needed

As far as I understand, we will have horizontal leveller in viewfinder, right?

Still only 12 bit RAW - whether this really is a problem or not is not quite the point. I am just surprised they weren't able to introduce 14 bit

Pentax Z1 had 1/250s in 1992, and that shutter had 24mm to go,
on APS itīs only 16mm. So Pentax should have put in 1/250 in K10D,
and perhaps have it a little faster in K7.

that's nice. i'm really hope there'll be some useful info on that transparent display.

Transparetn OLED sounds potentially exciting - let's hope its being used for more than simply replacing existing viewfinder information.

Yes, I hinted to this when the K10D was released - but it wasn't ready back then.
Good to see that Pentax is finally releasing this technology that they have been working on for so long.
