If you shoot in raw on any camera, there is no demosaicing until you convert from raw to some other format.
That is true, but it has nothing to do with the AA filter he was talking about.

Thanks for posting it here.I never really go to the news section myself.I get almost everything from B&H, have for years.I'll be buying my K-7 in a year.I'm tired of getting stung buying these things fresh off the block
I'll wait too as much as the camera appears everything I want in a Pentax except it doesn't take AA batteries I was "stung" when I bought my K200d and wasn't eligible for the $100 rebate because I bought it too quickly. Hopefully the street price will be in the under $1000 level (body only) by the end off September. Just glad I didn't buy a Nikon D90 after all.

From the spec, it provides everything except for Full Frame sensor. I will go for it.

One thing is 99% sure is it will help manual focusing. Live view with magnification is great for manual focus as I tried on Panasonic G1. 100% coverage viewfinder may also help, plus the new matte screen.

You can use 6 AA's in the grip though. Don't know how much that'll affect performance, and, well, there goes the size advantage, but it's something!

Especially if you don't have a K20d. They are being offered for as little as $609 now, and may drop more once the lust for the new model really sinks in. The K10d is down around $500.

But then again, reading the dpreview hands-on preview, this K-7 is awfully tempting.... It's so svelte.

I see $1299 USD body only
It was listed at $1199 this morning then changed to $1299 after the official Pentax announcement.

Perhaps we should sound less enthusiastic before it goes to $1,500.

If all you need in live view is magnification to focus you can do that now in the K20D. Thats the only way i can really get my 800mm reflex lens focused properly.
