K-7 Test Images

All I am seeing are images of the camera with a lens on it, has anyone found any images taken with the camera, maybe even a comparison of it to the K20D?

As most of the models are with pre-production firmware, I doubt we'll see a lot of test shots until the final product is ready to ship.

Here are some!

chasing light...

(Mark DiMalanta's site, ... he posted here earlier and I can't recall his screen name atm. Also, he doesn't seem to mention on the blog what firmware he had for this. He may have mentioned something on this in a post here, though. )

I wouldn't use those 0.20 firmware as they lack a lot of tuning. They are not representative of the camera's IQ.

Any pictures taken with the current version firmware may/will not accurately portray the performance of the final product, so why bother?

My feeling exactly. Once you got your RAW samples out to the net, people would use them to say how IQ does not compare with Nikon/Canon etc. Not good at all.

Priyantha Bleeker, didn't you have to agree not to release sample images when you were testing the 0.2 K-7?

Good call, thanks, I guess we will have to wait until the final release is out.

As always, I am wondering why we cannot keep stuff like this in the mega thread.

Anyway, here you go:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/604784-post3876.html

Meanwhile, the DNGs and JPGs are offline again. I could post the DNG. But at ISO 200, they won't be too interesting, I guess.

Because this way people can look at the topic of the thread and decide if they want to read it or not, whereas in the megathread you have to read everyones discussions about everything, and not everyone wants to do that

Best to use a download manager to grab them off, still pretty clogged up, but 200kbps with a manager as opposed to maybe 40kbps just trying to load them heh. Lots of people checking them out I guess.

I agree, there is an NDA on the high iso shots though, as they were also taken with beta firmware, and they don't want images like that released to the public if they're not the best they can be (understandable).
