Depends on what you are looking for I guess....I don't like Canon or Nikon.....nice enough cameras but they just seem weird...

I just preordered....after waiting for bargains for my previous K10d and my current K20d....this is the first one I've wanted to buy out of the gate. After all....I need something to use for 6 months before FF comes out right?

now I need to post my k20d and battery grip.....

I've heard the RRP here in Oz is $1499. Is that what you paid, Eagle? Oh, and where did you order it. I haven't seen it listed yet on the Aussie online stores I frequent.

I'm with J and a few others. I'm going to wait until the fall before purchase. We'll have lots of info on real world use by then and the prices will have dropped some.

Looks like I'll definitely be upgrading my K10's soon though.

Since the K20D is still $1,399, I'm happy with that price. It's a whole lot more camera

At Teds in Oz its showing up as $1999 inc 18-55mm ... Im guessing that is RRP ... Im hoping that if I wait for a few months after release it will drop a couple hundred dollars ...

Since I started the thread, I guess I should 'fess up that I pre-ordered as well the day after introduction...already think i have a buyer for my K20D setup. It looks like the price took a jump right after the first day or two, so I'm glad (for the moment!) that I pulled the trigger early.

unfortunately your K10D is already discontinued so already you're behind the curve

The price for the K-7 simply won't drop that fast, not with the pent up demand for it.
