Pentax UK are a complete waste of space. They never respond to email. I bought a K20D immediately upon release and had the early problem with RAW images not displaying properly in Adobe Camera Raw (which I know now was due to ACR needing to be updated). Thinking it would make sense to check with Pentax before returning the camera to the vendor for exchange, I rang and asked if there were any known issues with the K20D that would produce this result. The person I spoke to did not even know what the K20D was (he asked if it was a compact). Once I explained what it was he said he was not aware of any problems. Just to see if Pentax UK are still consistent, I emailed them (along with the relevant link) to ask why they are using a K20D to stand in for the K7. Silence.
During the era when the K10D was sweeping the board of every major award (and a basketful of less important awards) the best thing Pentax UK could find to shout about on their website was that the K100D had been Amateur Photographer Novice camera of the year. Pathetic. Eventually they woke up, but far too late.
The one good and consistent thing to emerge from all of this is the customer service and support from the UK Pentax Dealer SRS Microsystems. They exchanged My K20D without a murmur (even though I realise now it was not defective) and have continued to show the same high standard of customer service with each purchase I have made since. They are exceptional dealers and always my first choice.
