Would the K-7 be able to take this picture?

This image is from the Nikon D3X sample gallery. Do you think the K-7 would come close to this type of image quality?

Hhhmm, no EXIF, and looking at the top-right bit of the eye it seems shopped a bit.
Nice resolution though! Let's wait and see what she can do..

Quite frankly, a K100, K200, K10, etc could all take that when equipped with the right glass. For that matter, any SLR could.

The K-7 IQ should look pretty identical to the K20.

If it *does* resolve as well as a D3x, for goodness' sake *shut up!* I want to be able to afford one of these in a few years.

When I get my K-7 I will try that with my 105mm F2.8 Kiron 1:1 Macro and Pentax 6x7 135mm F4 Macro with K-mount adapter.

What, low-res? Well, an *ist-D could take it, but you need to scale it down.

Would the K-7 be able to take this picture? Not by itself — it'd need someone to set up the shot and press the button.

But seriously, I don't see anything particular about this shot that couldn't have been done with a K100D or one of the ✻ist models, a nice lens, and some post-processing.

Any SLR with good glass can do this. The K20D and K-7 could actually do a lot better than the sample (in reduced web resolution) requires.

Your key here is light. You can see the studio lamps reflection in the model's eye.

I dont really think that comes close to be honest. While its unfair because of the lighting and the position of the camera. The D3X pic looks WAY better IMO.
