They could even partner with Tokina or even Sigma
A bit off-topic perhaps, but I don't think any DSLR company (perhaps except fourthirds) would partner with Sigma for lenses. I think Sigma is (sadly) somehow a taboo name for the camera companies since Sigma does not pay any royalties for the various patents involved in the the mounts and signalling. As far as I know Sigma just reverse-engineer everything.

It's sad really, because sigma produce some very good lenses. Just hope and pray that it will never be an exclusive deal like Pentax vs Tokina where there is no competition on the same lens on PK-mount

Or does anyone know of a "camera brand"-lens that is designed or made by Sigma?

The star is just not there at all in the first photo. On the second one it appears to be the right size and same design as the rest of the chart.

If you're just photoshopping the DFA-text from the 645 lens it's a pretty obvious mistake to forget to add the star.

You can explain how the 50/1.0 looks exactly the same as the 645 55 in the first shot ?
Yeah, the same lens being there was discussed earlier....the combined fact point to the only conclusion that at least the 50/1.0 is a fake....

rumoured lenses in the pipeline

An f/1 !!! WOW that would make some headlines !!! Just released a DA55/1.4 though so a bit of a surprise to say the least.

a DFA*50 could sell more than a DA* - due to presence of aperture ring it can be also be used on film cameras which don't have e-dials like the MZ5N but I admit I'm surprised at DFA, perhaps they've DA'd an older design which they hadn't manufactured before.

a DA135/2.8 makes some sense - just look at the price the faster version of the M42/135 can reach. I could have used one of those today indoors !

a DFA*20/2.8 is nice - an updated FA20/2.8 I assume ? Slightly surprised they didn't update the FA24/2 instead. That would make 14mm, 15mm and 20mm primes in the range, possibly the 14 would discontinue ?

DA*400/4 could well be the 'super telephoto' on the present roadmap as roland mabo suggests, sounds rather nice - what would the filter size be 77mm ?? If it's not too heavy or bulky i.e. possible to handhold, then that would make a nice match for my 200/2.8 - dread the price tho !

I'm not familiar with the 645 focal length conversion to 35mm film equivalent but they will need some new lenses for the 645D so that makes sense.

no TC though :-((

as with all rumours, we'll just have to wait and see !

I really think you're all setting yourselves up for one hell of a disappointment here.

Did we learn nothing from the ridiculous claims that were spread about the K-7 just 5 DAYS AGO!?

I'll be happy to be proven wrong here, but doesn't it seem at least a little skeptical that these rumors seem to be playing to every fanboy dream of Pentax? Be realistic guys, Pentax is a small company and you can't expect them to blow everyone out of the waters all of a sudden.

There is no Pentax anymore... It's Hoya and they certainly have some serious funds...

!!! - I think it is a well constructed fake, BUT, if it isn't, it's very surprising!

As far as a 400mm f4, it certainly would not be a 77mm filter thread, as the front element would have to be a minimum diameter of 100mm for a f4 lens (focal length/f stop no).

Pentax have a series of filter sizes they have stuck with over the years and the next front filter thread up from 77mm is 112mm together with a 43mm slot in rear filter (as per the FA*300 f2.8).

I suspect that if this lens appears it will be a big, heavy and expensive brute! Way past my carrying capacity and wallet!

But isn't it known that Hoya was mainly interested in the medical optics side of Pentax, and as such wouldn't be inclined to shell out exorbitant amounts of R&D funds for the camera side?

20 f/2.8 not useful for 24x36?
Say that to the folks that bought the FA 20 f/2.8.
Oh, and the DA 14 f/2.8 is actually the APS-C version of the 20 f/2.8.
Quite popular field of view. Gives a more dramatic effect than 24 (24x36) or 16 (APS-C).

didnt say it wasnt useful, but if you were going to start building an ff lens lineup it would be a very strange place to start.

It's not going to last forever and it definitely would take some time to bring those lenses to stores...

I would get ?

Since I just bought a 55mm f1.4 the lens from the new group I would get would be the 135mm f2.8 Would be a nice smaller fast lens.

Placeholder image. The design isn't finalized yet so it wasn't included on the internal roadmap.

Can you explain the f/1.0 in the LCD display image that was leaked when details of the K7 were emerging? Or have you thought that Pentax is possibly shifting to FF, hence the removal of the DA 30 and the sudden appearance of a prestige lens such as the DFA 50?
