Originally posted by joerg Yes 20mm is more dramatic than 24mm, however like the previous post said, it seems an odd place to start. I am obviously no Pentax marketing expert or anything like that, but to me it seems like you could bring back most FA designs with no real big issues, but to bring back a 20mm when modern super wides are all the way down to 12mm these days and Nikon and Canon are at 14 and 16mm it just seems a bit odd that Pentax wouldn't take advantage of this newer technology and try to push the envelope just a bit.
This is all probably a mute point anyhow, the chart looks like a fake. I would love to see a FF pentax though, and a 50 1.0 but it probably will be a little while before we see anything like this.
It could make sense from one specific point: this presumed new 35mm camera starts with exactly these lenses, that are mostly used in forumtalk as proof for the "limits" of APS-C.
A somehow fast 20mm F2.8 would have to be a 14mm F1.6 from DOF, 50mm 1.(0? more likely 1 or 2) would be a shallow-DOF monster.
It's a teaser for those who want exactly this kind of addition to the technical possibilities of their photograpic tools and would also be ready to pay the price (probably at highest level) for a body and a lens having nothing but this advantage over the complete main APS-C-line.
On the other hand, exactly this makes the whole thing even more suspicious, as it is adressing just exactly last weeks forum-whining. Probably a case of "to good to be true" as being an indicator of a (well done - because it led to two threads) fake
