How weatherproof is the K-7?

Maybe waterproof!? Mr blurry camera phone photo guy posted this to this blog 精彩的水上运动照片 - Windows Live

I think these were taken with the K-7? I could be wrong though as I don't read japenese! Nice photos anyway I would love to hear some offical wording as to what the k-7 seal are capable of..

Yes they are very maybe. :P
These pictures are from Boston globe website. Apparently from Volvo ocean race.
I think you should change the title of this thread. ;P

Here's a link to rest of the pictures: http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2009/05/the_volvo_ocean_race.html

Great photos! The Photographer is Oskar Kihlborg. I think he uses a Canon.

Ah so maybe in the not so distant future we can expect shots like these to be taken with the K-7 + WR lenses or DA* lenses?

I wish they'd be more honest about the sealing and say exactly what it's capable of. Like would it be fine for kayaking with a few dips in the water and a dunk or too?

Anyone know how to change the thread title?

I hope people don't expect too much from the WR lenses. It was said on the pentax japan site that WR is less sealed than DA*.

Title changed. After 10 minutes you can only change the subtitle. If you need this done so the title changes in the index, contact a mod.

So are this taken with a K7 or not ?

If these are not, then Pentax should take A BIG LOOK at these, and then take pictures like these for their marketing purposes. It's a shame
they don't take advantage of the camera abilities. These kind of images are mind blowing

You couldn't make much sense of it because Jopy is Chinese, not Japanese. Here's the Google translation from Chinese:
"Suitable for this type of film on the camera PENTAX ah ah ah ~ in particular, K-7 ~"

Pretty accurate. This is a bit more accurate:
"This type of picture is suitable for being taken by Pentax cameras ha ha ha - in particular K-7"
