And, if it is to be a KAF3 lens, it possibly could be real (space for the AF gears can be saved).

The D-FA645 25/2.8 is definitely a fake. Such a lens would be extremely expensive. Just look at the price of the FA645 35/3.5. The superwide for the 645 is likely a 25mm lens but almost certainly F:4 or F:4.5.

Wouldn't he/she get better coverage and gain more self satisfaction with more exposure (sorry for the pun) over at Nikon or Canon.

Nope. Due to the new marketing that Pentax is using lately, with all the games of "accidentally leaked information, etc. " there's no better place for the hoax and crazy rumors than Pentax forums and user groups.

With the exception of sites dedicated to UFOs, Big Foot and Loch Ness Monster.

I'm not so interested since I know I can't afford FF anyway. Just think how crazy expensive it is if Pentax release a DFA 50mm F/1.0? And 135mm F/2.8? How interesting is that when there's an excellent 50-135mm to cover the range.
How crazy? There was Canon 50/0.95 and EF 50/1.0, Letz had a 50/0.95 lens too.

And, prime is prime, zoom is zoom. F1.0 is F1.0, 1.4 is 1.4. All things are different! Zoom has F2.8 at most!

Well maybe I was just being naive there RH and I'm sure you are correct, you usually are.
But I'm sure many of those who still use film will be pleased.
Oh, thanks. And of course if they really make a Full Frame lens, that can be used on both digital and film! Thats just like what I am using my film glass on Film, APS-C and Full Frame all.

In so far as the 50 f1.0 it would be fantastic just to have it in the line up. It would earn Pentax a lot of kudos.
Yes, for sure!

This also implies that Pentax could be prepping for launching FF body. I hope this is true because it means that Pentax / Hoya are truly determined to clawing their way back to be one of the market leaders.

For me, the biggest indicator that Pentax wasn't going FF was the lack of current lenses. If this new roadmap is true, then it would indicate that Pentax was most certainly leaving the door open for a venture into FF. And what does it really hurt? Sure, making pure APS-C lenses might shave a bit off the size, but designing lenses for FF leaves a lot of options open to them.

In April, many people were not believing the K-7 "rumours" and "hoaxes". So, now? Whats the truth? :-)

But that lens is not really that wide. Its just equivalent to something like 37.5mm for 135 film.

And f/2.8 is not really very fast. I think its standard for the MF.

The 645 33-55/4.5 and the 35mm have both a filter diametre of 82mm. Unless Pentax have some trick up its sleeve a 25mm with that speed (2.8) would have a truly large front element. It is also rather pointless as F:4.5 will be satisfactory for most MF users in this focal lenght range.
You got your math wrong. A 25/2.8 for the full 645 format is like a 15/2.8 for an FF K-mount camera. Take a look at the A 15/3.5 to get some idea.....

If I'm not completely mistaken a 25mm has never been made for MF (except possibly a fish-eye lens). I believe the Pentax FA645 33-55/4.5 is the widest wide angle ever for MF.

If the leak had been for real, that would've been very bad judgement by Pentax/Hoya so soon after the announcement of K-7. Who would've bought it and especially crop sensor lenses anymore if a FF or APS-H sensor based camera was in sight.

Well, after all the buzz that THE thread created, we're bound to see pranks like this many times.

It would allow me to film Barry Lyndon 2: Candlelight Boogaloo.
