Quote: that would've been very bad judgement by Pentax/Hoya so soon after the announcement of K-7. Who would've bought it and especially crop sensor lenses anymore if a FF or APS-H sensor based camera was in sight ?
Because I suspect that should a FF Pentax DSLR ever come to pass, inevitably it will end up occupying an entirely different market sector than an APS-C DSLR, based on a number of defining factors including affordability.
There will inevitably be those who aspire to owning a FF Pentax DSLR at some time in the future, but the fact remains that many enthusiasts will never be in a position to purchase one until their cost comes down to a reasonable level. This will probably still take many years, so in order to remain competitive, Pentax obviously needs an APS-C replacement for the K20D e.g. K-7. Therefore who knows what Pentax has hidden up it's sleeve for those Pentax aficionados with extremely deep pockets…..which thankfully excuses me from the equation !! Watch this space.......
