Isn't the body like $10,000? I don't think they're going after the budget conscious consumer

FUTURE DFA and DA LENSES - it could be in 2010-2011.

I hope the 135 limited is true....

Personally, I think this is all true. Too crazy and random to think up. Just the kind of strange lateral thinking and marketing that Pentax has been up to the last few years.

DFA* 50 F1 would be pretty sweet as well....

And the K-5-3-1 following in rapid succession would be awfully nice...I'd better make some serious freaking money this year...

Cheers,
Cameron

I wouldn't rule that out. It seems too odd to be a fake. Why not make up something better while at it?

Bear in mind that the 645D will have a "cropped" sensor. It's not going to be 6x4.5 cm, but 4.8x3 cm. As with DA lenses, because the image circle is smaller a DFA 645 lens will also be smaller and the focal length shorter than what it would be for a film 645.

I'read several things like that in this thread.

Just a little precision... there is an Olympus F/2.0 zoom.
Before saying that something is odd, impossissible or doesn't exist in photography, you 'd better check before if Olympus didn't try to do it...

But Oly's use of smaller sensor makes it not comparable with Pentax lenses. The smaller the sensor, the easier it is to make fast glass. For example, the Panasonic prosumer FZ series sports a 35-420mm (35mm equivalent) constant F/2.8 lens; and that was 6 years ago - will we see a similar lens for APS-C? Not very likely.

Possibly (and not arguing about whether or not this is a hoax), but it's conceivable that Pentax would offer reduced coverage for the smaller-than-6x4.5cm sensor which might help control size/cost of an ultrawide.

I have a 30mm (fisheye) lens for Pentacon Six that I have been using with my modified Kiev 60. It covers 6x6. It is an impressive piece of glass, weighs a tonne. Making a rectilinear would make it even bigger. If such a lens is possible it will most definitely cost a lot more than the camera :-)

I have though about that but why call it D-FA645 then? Why not DA645? For the K-mount D-FA means full frame. It should mean the same for 645......

Likewise, my 2003 Sony F828 has a 28-200 (35mm equiv) f/2.0-2.8 lens. Not constant, but faster than 2.8

It's their own naming scheme so I guess they can use it however they see fit, but from what I understand aren't all of the current MF digitals less than the true film MF size?

that would've been very bad judgement by Pentax/Hoya so soon after the announcement of K-7. Who would've bought it and especially crop sensor lenses anymore if a FF or APS-H sensor based camera was in sight ?
Because I suspect that should a FF Pentax DSLR ever come to pass, inevitably it will end up occupying an entirely different market sector than an APS-C DSLR, based on a number of defining factors including affordability.
There will inevitably be those who aspire to owning a FF Pentax DSLR at some time in the future, but the fact remains that many enthusiasts will never be in a position to purchase one until their cost comes down to a reasonable level. This will probably still take many years, so in order to remain competitive, Pentax obviously needs an APS-C replacement for the K20D e.g. K-7. Therefore who knows what Pentax has hidden up it's sleeve for those Pentax aficionados with extremely deep pockets…..which thankfully excuses me from the equation !! Watch this space.......

Best regards
Richard

Some people are just plain delusional. Pentax just announced a new K-7, and the firmware isn't even ready yet. Meanwhile they are working on the 645D which supposedly will be ready early next year. For their APS line, pretty soon they are going to need to introduce another body between Km and K-7. With that said, if you still believe Pentax has the extra resource to develop these monster prime lenses, you are a very very crazy person.

I'd be a competitor, dropping fake roadmap like this would for sure, make some people not buy hte K-7 now. Pretty dirty trick but still, possible.

Either way, leaking this is stupid (real or wrong).
