To those that complain about loss of detail and Nikon is soooo much better.
Sample shots with D300. Can you see that its a camera in this shot on Iso 6400??

Hmm... the Nikon ISO 6400 sample takes on a texture that reminds me of some sort of rug... honestly not at all unpleasant, but you can definitely see the K20D's detail advantage. But why no K20D ISO 6400? I'ts not quite a fair comparison.

There where no pentax ISO 6400 pictures. But you can compare 3200 pictures. Remember that the pentax is a half stop faster at iso 3200.
And nikon dont have much details at iso 3200 eather

everyone loves "side by side" comparisons when looking at cameras...what about a blind sample? I'd like to see a little survey with a sample image of a few different cameras taking pictures with the same settings of the same subject and seeing if people can pick out which camera did what. In addition, i'd like to compare the preference for "which one is best" between forum members and graphic designes/stock agencies, that sort of thing, the people who buy photos. Not going to make any assumptions but something tells me the differences between cameras are more or less negligible when the labels are removed.

Also, for what its worth, I think the k7 pictures look good.

Jmbradd, an interesting idea, but after looking at so many samples I've actually come to recognize what the high-iso samples from different brands look like. A sort of carpet-like texture to the nikons, Oly and Pentax both with less NR and more noise left in but with the pentax having a different texture that reminds me of pockmarked rust, and canon and sony just kind of mushy. My preference is to the Pentax look but I imagine the Nikon looking very nice in print as well.
