K-7 cheaper at brick and mortar stores?

just called L&S (Broadway, Vancouver) awhile ago. they are selling the body for about 1599, 1 WR wide to standard zoom for 1799 or 2 WR lenses for 1999. I hope I heard it correctly but probably the 1999 is only 1 WR lens with a much wider angle or better optics and f-stops. I dunno if I heard something 50 and above zoom range. but I think it's 70mm max range.

SMC, seems like you're one lucky dude. too bad I didn't get the price that I wanted. oh well, +100 I guess is worth the sacrifice.

At the moment there are only 2 lenses with the WR designation, the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm. Though I'm sure there will be more down the road I imagine Pentax is going to have their hands full with the K-7 rollout before they can get to launching any additional lenses in the near future.

Well, then we need to keep ourselves busy before that eventful day comes. probably I'll just play pool, go swimming and join a bowling tournament. I'm going out tomorrow to give an initial deposit for the pre-order. c'mon paychecks !!!

Really?.....Good sign for Pentax but not so good for the rest of us!

I'll also add L&S in victoria also has it for pre-order at 1599.99.. I went it after I saw this thread, but no luck with the 1499 price
