This makes it a good reason to put a live view feature in it so that original KAF-10500 would become another product to sell to the other customer in Kodak’s agenda.

Noo, film is gone. Not because sensors are good but the chemicals are bad.
Chemicals are not worse than pixels!
The way, when and where you use chemicals is essential for the effect they have on the environment. At the RIT (or was it the MIT) some studying was done on the environmental impact of digital technology, and by extension the digital photography VS analogue. The out come was very surprising, particularly due to the extreme waste of electronic hardware components in the production, distribution, use, ageing and replacement.
Nowadays, the chemicals used for film manufacturing and processing are fare more environmentally friendly than a decade ago.
I think that, at the end and all calculating and testing done, digital might be a disaster, environmentally AND economically…
The trouble is that very, very, few people are ready to realise and to accept this!
The causality is not the thing but the man holding it…

This is not a statement about film might be dead or not, I do not want to discuss this now.

It's true. Land fills are filling up at an alarming rate with old technology. Old computers, old cd players, old cell phones, old cameras. All of these items are built, knowing that they would soon be outdated and obsolete, and yet nothing is being designed to be recyclable or biodegradable. Plastic in general, though toughted as being a miracle compound that saves us in so many ways and make everything cheaper (in whatever way you define cheap), is in fact horrible for the world. Petroleum based plastic is designed to last forever and never breaks down to it's original components. So why is it most of things made from plastic are intended to be thrown away, like soda bottle and most sorts sorts of containers? There is currently an estimated 350 billion pounds of plastic floating around in the ocean, and it is unfeasible at this point to imagine cleaning it up. It will likely be there forever.

Just watch this to find out more. How Much Plastic is in the Ocean? : Discovery News
