The only Pentax TV ad I would actually ever do is a Super Bowl one to be honest. It would basically cost about 3 million for Pentax to do (with 200 grand production??). If you can do a 1984 Apple style ad that generates a lot of buzz it could probably be far better than any other campaign you do.

There's a simple but good reason why Pentax do not run any TV ads about the K-7: it is not in shop yet.

I know I'd see such ad, I'd run into the shop. "What? They run ad but the product is nowhere?"

It doesn't mean they will run ad when they need to, but now is IMO too early.

Right, waste millions that they don't have on a Pentax ad to football fans after Christmas in the middle of winter for a camera body that cost $1,300.

Regardless of whether it is pig, cow or synthetic, it is still called the pig skin.
