just cannot believe the US release is 2 weeks after Japan!!

Anyone ordered from pricejapan.com before?!

I'm not even sure their shipment would be fast enough.

The K7 just showed up on flea-bay about an hour ago from a Tokyo Seller,

$1,700.00 US Body only $1,800 w/ 18-55 WR lens

They are shipping in Canada next week.
Another member here has a pre order in Quebec and the price is waaaay lower than the Japanese price above. That's highway robbery.

Amazon is showing them in Stock at Willoughby's another Highway Robbery, I will wait for my pre-order

Now they list the body at $1299,

Does anyone know if/when the K-7 will be available in China? Or does Pentax not distribute on a large scale there yet (other than Hong Kong)?

I'll be there for 4 months or so in the fall, so I'm just curious about general availability of Pentax gear there as well...

If you regarding to Henry's in Toronto Ontario, CA (Canada). We have purchased many item's from them and they have no issues shipping to the USA.

If I am not mistaken they also do International worldwide shipping I would recommend asking them about International.

Sorry buddy, in China as far as I know it, is Canon-Nikon land. The prices may be lower on certain items, but don't put too many hopes on buying Pentax here.
It depends a lot on the place you will be (major city or not).

Yes, it'd be onsale in China from the second week of July

If you buy befor 10th of Aug, you'd get extra year warranty, a nice camera bag, a Pentax hat plus some other goodies for free. Price is between 8400 to 8500RMB, about $1240USD.

Quite some of my friends there already ordered the camera. Some were hesitating, but after they tried it in Shanghai today (Pentax China had a K-7 promotion event there today), they made their mind to upgrade as soon as the camera reaches there

Hmm, that's quite different from my experience there. I've bought quite some Pentax stuff from China, at much lower prices than here in Singapore, or even the US. It might not be easy to buy from a local shop if you are not living in a major city, but you can always buy them from online sources

The courier service there is fast, cheap and pretty reliable too.
