OK, this is rumours on the release date, but try to be as precise as possible.

Large internet shops in Norway has it listed as available 15th july

Cyberphoto in Sweden says week 29

The old distributor in Norway, Fovi, says "sometime" in july

well different parts of the world have seasons at different time I wouldn't look at Summer or fall indicators. All that matters is the JUNE 2009 lol. Of course wither I can afford it when it comes out is another matter.

Media Markt in Sweden mentions July 1st as the launch date here in a full page advert in Kamera & Bild magazine. On the back cover Pentax has another full page advert.

Even UK MacUser magazine has a full page K-7 news flash, obviously much of the press has got the message!

French shops seem to converge along the way of late June, early July for first shipments.

What about in the U.S.? Pentax Imaging says, "mid to late July," other places just say, "July." Shouldn't the exact date be known by now?

The camera travels by boat to the US. Things can happen at the sea... Hard to say a specific date. And when it has landed in the US it will take some days by the distributor to sort out the shipment and send the camera to the shops, and it will take some days for the shops to get their packages of cameras.

I got my K-m early by getting it out of Canada through E-bay before the US shops in my area had it. Might be the same this time around. But,I really have to as k myself if I need to upgrade or just want a newer, bigger toy.

Normally, but new products are many times shipped air to fill the channel faster.

If the K-7s are arriving by slow boat then I can see why they don't set an exact release date in the states. But I assumed that an in-demand, new product like this would be shipped by air.

What about pre-orders from Pentax webstores? I wonder if they'll ship direct or be part of the normal distribution channel? I recall when I ordered my white K2000 from the US Pentax webstore, I think it actually shipped from a location in Asia.

I confess...I'm ready to believe the earliest predicted ship date!

This is humiliating: I'm a 54 year old professional man and I'm as antsy as an 8 year old on Christmas eve!

I don't remember when I've been this excited about a new product! Maybe my first Macintosh computer in 1985?

Hmm, Falconeye was expecting an updated firmware mid June. If they were on a boat, they'd be on the boat RIGHT NOW, most likely, and they'd either have old firmware or falconeye should have gotten updated firmare by now. My guess is they are shipping the first wave by air, with boat shipped resupply.
