Samsung GX-30 and NX3 (hybrid camera) VERY SOON

There are a lot of rumors about announcement of GX-30 on July, 7.

I think it could be camera in body of GX-20 with new developed sensor for K-7 (5.2 fps and videо) with less features.

about NX - NOT GX-30
interesting info - look at the picture - f/1.2 of Samsung NX

And is it just me, or does the "optical" viewfinder look huge?

You're right that does look like a full frame viewfinder.

Samsung makes the sensor, it's possible they could go forth 1st with a full frame dslr. It would certainly make more sense why pentax dropped the K30D name inleiu of K-7.

I'm very intrigued, a full frame platform with image stabilization like Sony A900 and maybe HD video too.

Interesting times we live in, all the better for old K Mount lenses owners... like me.

Definitely not a GX-20 body. Looks like samsung went ground up on its own with this one rather than a joint pentax development.

people are speculating about full frame territory, that's defenitly looks like a FF Viewfinder... Samsung wasn't working on a FF sensor?

wow, that really good news for K-ville!

How interesting. My purchasing strategy is to buy the K-7 and then wait for any future FF camera to drop in price before I buy it. I figured it would take Pentax at least a year to release one if at all. Wouldn't that be funny if it happens so much faster than I thought?

In any case, Go Pentax/Samsung alliance!

Hey guys, the picture in the first post was the NX! Not a DSLR!

And Samsung has already officially announced that it is based on a APS-C sensor!

Samsung?s nx series, hybrid digital cameras make global debut at pma 2009

So NO, NOT FF!!!

The pictures in the OP are of the NX! It is not a K-mount camera, and not the GX-30 -- it says so right there!

Hi All,

Here is the body comparison between K-7 and K10D:

You can see the K-7 is slightly smaller, but when you hold both, you'd feel the difference is quite big. K-7 just feels better balanced when held in hands.

If that's the Samsung NX's viewfinder it looks huge, though. I'm interested in how it turns out either way.

It's an EVF, so they can make it as big as they want!
