I had a less than stellar buying experience with them with the DA 40 Limited, but this is a pretty great deal on the DA 35, especially given that some people have been making offers $100 under the asking price on the FA 77 and getting the deal.

If you're in the market, I'd jump all over this.

Mine arrived last week from them for $375 (their counter offer), with 8% Ebay bucks.

It took less than a week for me to get the lens, and I'm loving it! :P

And I got one for $350 shipped a few weeks ago - it is a beautiful lens, spot on accuracy on the K20D - they accepted the offer without countering.

I got mine used for $320 shipped in better days for Pentax lens pricing. This is a damn good deal.

Vinzer, If you can't buy direct from the seller, get a forum friend to buy one for you and have it shipped to you. If the price difference is that much where you are, the second shipping cost should be no problem. Use a USA PF member though. Canada Post is very expensive for shipping anywhere.

I've thought a bit about this lens but have way too much macro stuff now (Fa50mm Sig 105mm, bellows and 4 M42's). So it would strickly be a regular shooting lens. Not sure if it's any better than an FA35mm f2 IQ wise and it's slower. Yeah I know, it's a Limited.

I'll think about it, but I also have to contend with local customs if I go through with your plan. Once they see a package containing anything photography-related, they smell blood and pounce. They even charged me for having a $12 developing tank shipped in.

how much does the DA* 35 cost over there? if the price of buying the DA 35 + shipping is much cheaper than to buy one locally, it is worth the gamble. if you want your package to arrive there on time without any delays or custom trouble, then the easiest way would be sending it thru UPS, DHL or FEDEX or whatever. I do believe those custom guys can't do nothing and have their hands off over such shipments.

I had done several types of international package transactions. USPS and international EMS deliver the items usually 7-9 days. DHL, FEDEX, UPS deliver the item 3-4 days (without any delay). if you want it to arrive 1-2 days, you just pay extra. don't worry, I had tried those things.
