Has any preview mentioned low light performance on the K-7?

Is it any better than the K20Ds?

Please use the search function. And all the results so far are not with production cameras.

My sources say that K-7 shines so brightly that it is hard for them to test that.

the consensus says that it performs similarly to the k20d. However consider that Amateur Photographer decided to postpone their review just because they received some news from Pentax UK claiming that the sensors in the production cameras are gonna be slightly different from that of sample cameras.

Those are two good readings about that:

No one has yet posted high ISO samples from production K-7 with production hardware and production version of the updated sensor. All there is, is image samples from prototypes and Pentax has officially stated that those does not show the true image quality of the production units.

You are right, according to Pentax Spain, the final K-7 will see some changes on its hardware (sensor) so the image quality seen on pre-production units is not provided by the final production sensor.

No One Has ..

Production firmware, production sensor or production camera. Samples would be absolutely useless.
